Amazing place, amazing people! Great place to stay.

We had a lovely week at Gites at Civray. the gites surround a central area with a covered communal space with overhead projector and screen.
We stayed in Ciel (sky), the view from the upstairs deck across the valley is superb. The gite was really clean when we arrived and included a few essentials (France is famously shut on a Sunday) which included pasta and pesto, milk, tea, coffee and sugar. The fully equipped kitchen with fridge, dishwasher and gas hob & oven meant we only ate out once during the week.
There is plenty of parking and as I write this (June '18) the pool is waiting to be installed (it arrived the week we were there)
We spent the week exploring the area venturing to Tours (50k) to visit some chateaux as well as Loches (a beautiful Royal town) and Azay le Ferron both superb local towns with a fantastic history. Every town we drove through was 'typically French'.
As a cyclist I was delighted to find the roads not only quiet but also in fantastic condition that puts roads in the UK to shame.
The local town of La Celle Guenand has a small epicerie that shares space with the town's bar (very handy) and Chez L in Le Grand-Pressigny does a short but excellent food menu.
Thanks to Jenny and Steve for their warm welcome and the very best of success in their venture.

Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality!! We all loved being there and will Def be back!  I left a bottle of wine for you to say thanks but couldn't find a pen to say thank you!

One of the best things about travel is the opportunity to make new friends.  If you are planning a swim bike run training camp I recommend Civray Gites and the wonderful Jenny and Steve.  Top training facilities nestled in a quiet corner in the heart of France

My Grandaughter and i spent a wonderful weeks holiday at 28,Civray The Gite we stayed in was called Ciel,It was very well appointed with an upstairs and downstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom was suitable for anyone with reduced mobility as it had a walk in shower. It was spotlessly had a log burner which made for cosy evenings. There was a stove, dishwasher, fridge and,Wi Fi
There were beautiful views from the balcony The swimming pool was great..For those who like goats milk and cheese, there is a goat farm 5 minutes walk away, 10 minutes drive away there is a village with a boulangerie and butcherie and a few other has a park with a new block of toilets which are very clean.
Its a 30 minute drive to a town. it is a peaceful location, the roads are quiet and in very good condition, perfect for walking, running and cycling .The owners were friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They made our stay memorable, We will deffinately come again.

I've stayed here and had the best stay ever. The views from the gites are amazing. The villages are beautiful.

If triathlon's not your thing then there's towns and villages just waiting to be explored!
